Letterpress
20 Years of Printing
Stephen Frech has been letterpress printing since 2000 when he founded Oneiros Press, publisher of limited edition, letterpress poetry broadsides. In 2008, he helped to found Blue Satellite Press at Millikin University. Originally, Blue Satellite published exclusively poetry broadsides, but in recent years they have added a line of fun greeting cards called Cheeky Greetings. Frech’s print shop operates as one would have at the turn of the 20th century: lead and wood type, platen presses, and an Intertype machine he’s hoping to reanimate.
Oneiros Press
Oneiros broadsides have been purchased by special collections libraries around the world, among them the Newberry Library (Chicago), the Beinecke Library at Yale, and the University of Amsterdam Print Collection.
